What is Hypertension?
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a long-term medical condition where a person’s blood pressure is consistently too high. Most guidelines define this as having a resting blood pressure of 130/80 mmHg and above.
Hypertension is the leading cause of deaths worldwide, and affects one-third of the global population. It is also a risk factor for various conditions including heart failure, stroke, dementia, and kidney disease.
For patients with high blood pressure, management centres around medication and lifestyle changes. These are lifelong commitments, as neither solution offers a permanent cure for the condition.
What’s more, they may not be enough – some patients continue to have high blood pressure despite making lifestyle changes and being on 3 or more medications. These patients are diagnosed with resistant hypertension (on 3 or more drugs) or refractory hypertension (on 5 or more drugs).
Hypertension Clinical Study
Are you looking to treat your uncontrolled high blood pressure?
The HyperQure RDN System is undergoing a forward-looking clinical study at several locations.
This study will evaluate the device as a potential new surgical operation to perform RDN, in order to help control blood pressure in patients who are already on multiple medications but still have hypertension.
The device will be tested on a group of patients with difficult-to-treat hypertension to see if it is safe and works well.
We are currently recruiting patients to take part in this study.
To participate, you must:

Must be 22 to 80 years of age when enrolled

Have an office blood pressure of ≥140/90 mmHg

Be on at least 3 medications for high blood pressure

Be diagnosed with resistant high blood pressure
